Parent meeting slated for May 14
All children who will be 4 years old by Sept 15, 2015, are eligible for free pre-kindergarten
at Greene County Elementary. There is no income guideline for this state-funded preschool program.
There is a screening component to PK registration that will take place May 19 and 20. Parent are asked to call the elementary school at 515-386-3178 to schedule a 30-minute time slot for their child to be screened.
Information about the program will be presented at a Parent Night Thursday, May 14, at 6:30 pm at Greene County Elementary at 401 E Russell, Jefferson. All children in the district, including those in the former East Greene district, will attend school in Jefferson. Parents are asked to bring their child’s birth certificate and immunization record to that parent meeting. Parents who need more information can call the elementary school at the above number.
